Students in Northern Ireland are faced on a daily basis working out what is their cost of survival. Balancing the rising cost of bills, food and transport to get to class.

The level of student finance means for many their income, even with a job, comes well below the poverty line. Yet few are able to claim benefits or additional support schemes.

Our Cost of Survival Report sets out the emergency measures the government need to put in place for students now to get them through this crisis. We also look at the longer term changes needed to end student poverty and build an education system for our future.

Students today are our future nurses, teachers, engineers - our future leaders. They will build what comes next. Protecting their present, protects our future.
